A message from Tammy Born DO, Program Chairperson

As we were discussing potential themes for this fall’s ICIM meeting, headlines in the Grand Rapids Press reported how a local food distributor had contaminated the wells of it’s community with arsenic.

Michigan has very high levels of mercury in its air.  It seems like the lists of toxins to which we are exposed grows every day.  In addition, we have threats of nuclear, biological and chemical warfare.  So where do patients go for protection and expertise in treating these life-threatening exposures?  They need us to be educated and ready with answers and treatments.  This meeting will accomplish that.

Dr. Ted Rosema and I have put together an impressive line-up of speakers from all over the world - experts who can prepare us.  Three foundations will be explored at ICIM in Grand Rapids -

         1)   We are all exposed to toxins

         2)   Toxins have negative health effects - always.

         3)   Getting rid of toxins prevents diseases and and treats patients from a curative

               position.

We must be prepared - your patients NEED you to be here!  I will welcome you to Grand Rapids!!
